BPM to MS Converter
Convert a song’s tempo into delay times in milliseconds for quarter notes, eighth notes, dotted and triplet values.
How to use the BPM to MS Converter
- Enter the tempo in beats per minute.
- Read the milliseconds for each note value.
- Set your delay or reverb pre-delay to match.
How it works
One beat (a quarter note in 4/4) lasts 60,000 ÷ BPM milliseconds: 500 ms at 120 BPM. Halve it for eighth notes, multiply by 1.5 for dotted notes and by ⅔ for triplets. Syncing delay times to the tempo keeps echoes in the groove.
