How to convert feet and inches to cm
- Turn the feet into inches: multiply by 12. 5 feet = 60 inches.
- Add the remaining inches: 60 + 7 = 67 inches.
- Multiply by 2.54: 67 × 2.54 = 170.18 cm.
A quicker route for the feet part: each foot is exactly 30.48 cm, so 5 ft = 152.4 cm, and 7 in = 17.78 cm; 152.4 + 17.78 = 170.18 cm. Both give the same exact answer.
