Square Footage Calculator
Calculate the area of a room, floor, lot or any simple shape in square feet, and optionally the total cost from a price per square foot.
How to use the Square Footage Calculator
- Choose the shape and the unit of your measurements.
- Enter the dimensions.
- Optionally enter a price per square foot to estimate cost.
How it works
- Rectangle: length × width
- Triangle: ½ × base × height
- Circle: π × (diameter ÷ 2)²
Measurements in inches, yards or meters are converted to feet first. For flooring, add 5–10% extra for cuts and waste.
