How it works
US children’s sizes run in two series: toddler/little kid sizes (written C, for “child”) from about 4C to 13C, then youth/big kid sizes (Y) from 1Y to 7Y, which overlap with women’s sizes. UK kids’ sizes are about one size smaller than US. Measure the longer foot standing up and allow about 1–1.5 cm (½ inch) of growing room.
