How it works
Divide minutes by 60: 15 min = 0.25, 30 min = 0.5, 45 min = 0.75. Many employers round time to the nearest quarter hour using the “7-minute rule”: 1–7 minutes round down and 8–14 round up. US law allows rounding only if it is neutral over time — it must not always favor the employer.
